Well my neice was over the other day and got me hooked on facebook. I wanted a easier way of keeping up with everyone and this is what she told me. It is a very simple tool you use online to connect to friends. you each can write on each others sites and post pics and things like that. The thing I like most about it is its privacy features. Everytime someone wants to add you or do anything to your pics or your site you have to give permission. Very cool feature. So for the summer, since time is limited, this is what I will be using. Oh my this should be a pretty eventful day. I am getting ready to go pick up my girls...........LOL AKA:the cats!
They have both been at the vets since Wednesday. I just hope they aren't mad at us.....hee hee.
Ball games have been quite well I think Jakes team is still undefeated and the coaches boy hit a homerun last night (over the fence). Quite exciting! Jake had a hit and scored a run and he was thrilled about that. At this age you get excited over just hitting the ball while up to bat! The boys are getting quite good at pitching in this age bracket!
Going to be another busy weekend, I am hoping to get the pool supplies and maybe open the pool tonight. But if not, then maybe Sunday! woohooo!!!
I hope all you moms out there have a great MOTHERS DAY!!!!!!

One more thing before I leave. Has anyone heard of facebook? My neice was showing it to me on the computer last night, kinda like a myspace deal but more private? Anyways if you have drop me a line let me know what you think of it. I guess Ihave a few family memembers that do it and quite a few people at the north church as well.

Well I just got back from taking the cats to the vet and I am squeezing in a minute to update the blog. I just wanted to let eveyone know that I will still post from time to time but that while the summer is nearing my time is getting shorter and shorter to be on the computer for play! I hope everyone has a great summer! I will at least post summer pics from time to time!

It is definatley Friday! I woke up strangely rested this morning, Then I realized it was 7:15am and everyone was still in bed asleep! LOL I immediately woke Dave up (who usually is at work at 7:15am) then woke up Jake (who is usually being picked up this time for school) I then woke up poor Jess who had to fend for herself this morning while I drove Jake to school and daddy left for work in a furry! I came home from dropping Jake off and there sits Jess completely ready reading a book. God bless her! 3 minutes later she was out the door and walking to the bus stop with Zack!

So there I was trying to relax with a cup of coffee while I made out my list of things I needed to accomplish this morning. OH MY I had better get started I thought. I started cleaning the house, cause I knew I wouldn't have time this weekend. I glanced at the clock and it is 2 hours later and I have not marked off one thing on my list..........LOL Just going to be one of those days I guess!
Anyways I did want to share with you my "deal of the week"! I found a bag at walmart yesterday in the clearance bin. It is big enough I can use it for work or as a laptop bag! And the best part the tag said $5!!! I got to the register and it rang up for $4 something. WHOOOHOOO! I can handle that! So heres a picture...I did look for more but it was a huge bin inthe purse section and I didn't see anymore but they had tons of different ones!

ok off I go now to look at my list again.................been so busy I can't remember what I had on it. I do know this blog was NOT one of them.........LOL

....what the heck we did before the Internet? I was thinking about that and it sure does make things easier! For instance: here are a few things I do on the net..............find recipes, bank, Christmas shop, listen to music, read yesterdays paper, research anything, reserve books and movies at the library, talk to other women in groups just like me, study, help kids with homework, look up phone numbers, make extra money, design, play games and unwind, watch my favorite missed tv show...............and, oh yeah keep up with friends and family........... the list goes on and on. What are your favorite things to do?
If you would leave a comment or send me your favorite things to do on the net I will make a list on my blog. Send in a unique site and I will list that too.
I have to say that the Internet can be a bad thing (as far as some of the things you or worse yet, your kids can run across) but I would have to say it sure makes this families life alot easier!
In light of the warmer weather I am paying tribute to summer and camping. At the end of my blog you will see a large square window. What is it? you ask! It is a CORN HOLE game.....LOL yes you saw me type right....a corn hole game that we found on the net there other day. We frequent a site called addicting games.com and they can be addicting! In this particular game be sure to notice where the people are! It is a campground. Too Funny! But mainly there is a color on the board that goes up and down. While your mouse is on the board you click the moving color for the distance, then once you click that the hole will move from side to side. Once you click again where ever the hole is at that time determines the directions. Takes a few times to get use to it but we actually like playing it. (among many others) So give it a try! Who doesn't like corn hole? I mean come on!!!
Well I will be off an on today if anyone would like to chat or send me your favorite website, I will be working from home making a few calls and working on some outlines for work, so off I go to start my day! Lets see if the sun will come out to play I hear it is supposed to be around 70 today!

Well it is May 2nd already, where did the time go? I can't believe that the school year is almost over. It seems like yesterday that Dave and I were struggling with sending the kids to public school. What a journey these last couple years have been. From making a commitment to myself and going back and getting my RN to sending the kids back to school, to making some hard financial decisions.......it almost seems like such a blur! I have a great family and lovely friends that are so supportive , I wouldn't have fared as well if I didn't' have some of you to lean on at times! I know it takes a lot for me to have to open up and lean on someone but just knowing that you are there makes all the difference! So for that I take a moment to THANK you!
It is nice to sit back and just enjoy and dwell on all the blessings we have been given as God's children! I am not a perfect being that is for sure but to know that my Savior is, creates all the hope I need!
Well the rain has come and things are as green as ever! Still yet another layer of water on the pool cover..........LOL But the flowers are really taking off and grass is growing fast enough for Jake to enjoy mowing! ( I somewhat miss mowing the yard---relaxing) And no ball games have been cancelled yet! I always hated trying to make up too many games this time of year. I pray that is continues this way.........
Speaking of prayer, please be praying for the Mozena Family! Poor little Logan (age 2?) had a garden accident an broke his foot. He is in Children's hospital and is on IV antibiotics and is not supposed to be up on his foot! (Good luck on that one!) Hopefully if all goes well they can come home on Thursday! If you would like to send her an encouraging note feel free to contact me and I will give you her email addy!

well I need to get off here and get some things done before I have to go to work! enjoy the day! If you want to leave comments on this post I will make sure Val sees them!

Ok Yahoo is not that reliable I guess. I have gotten many speratic messages asking if I am getting messages from family and friends. I am not getting these. WEIRD! So if you need to get ahold of me the best way is by email! I guess we tend to rely on technology way too much! LOL

HEROES! How could I have forgotten? I completey, in our hectic life, forgot the show started back up last wek! ARGH! Thank goodness NBC puts this show on the internet to watch. Today was Jessie's preview picture and ball game day! Thank goodness they didn't play as many innings as Jake's team did yesterday! Jess stole 2 bases and made a run for her team. She never got back up to bat cause they called the game short. I thought I had better post some pictures of her too!

Breaking news!!! This just in!!!! Some little critter is about to die if he doesn't stop eating my plants out front!!! I couldn't believe when I looked outside and the tops of my hostas were cut short and my lily's are hacked. Not all of them but enough that I "The black thumb" noticed! ARGH! If any of you (ValM) know what I can do (ValM) about this situation please let me know! (ValM) .....hee hee!

Well it is an absolutely gorgeous day so off I am to enjoy some of it!

What a day! Another "rush, rush rush" saturday. We had the first game of the season for Jake today. Well, actually, it was supposed to be a picture day and preview but we ended up playing 6 innings. Jake did great! He got an "IN THE PARK HOMERUN"!!! You could tell he was siked! I was amazed at how much quicker he has gotten over this past year. I guess it is paying off though! Dave and I both agree something changed in him, ball wise , this year. He is playing center field and Dave calls him the "Hoover" (like the sweeper). The coach told him to go in the dugout an tell the other boys he was now the leader in homeruns for the team.......LOL we thought that was cute!

It's Friday! woohooo! Well it really isn't that exciting but at least the sun is out. Actually blinding me at the moment while I sit here watching it come up and getting the kids ready for school.
Our Hostas are finally sprouting from the ground and everything is looking really green! Jacob mowed the grass last night and I must say he did a great job. A freshly mowed lawn is always nice.
Well the rain again put a thin layer of water on the pool cover I will need to drain off for the 3rd time....LOL I have been looking around at peoples pools and I have seen quite a few of them uncovered already. I can't wait , maybe this weekend we will have some time in between ball games to get that done and out of the way.
Did I mention it was Friday? LOL Maybe it doesn't seem like a Friday cause this is our baseball preview weekend. Fun but on the go along with squeezing in our stuff we wanted to get done. But we enjoy watching the games and as the kids get older they games get more exciting! I have paperwork to do today along with my usual running around, work and practices.
I am actually just on here to look at my eBay auctions this morning. I have two going at the moment. I am wanting to buy and "EZ-up". If you don't know what that is, here is a picture for ya.

Our campers awning was torn off the day before we bought it so we figure this would be a great alternative. I love these cause they are all one piece. No poles to assemble and you can take it anywhere! (Ballgames, camping, 4 wheeling) Anywhere you think you might need some shade or shelter. Our only concern is keeping it away from the campfire ash! LOL
Well I had better get my day started, I am headed to the treadmill. I have committed to do cardio at least 5 days a week!

Hey! I actually scrapped!!!!! LOL well I guess you can call it that. I took 15 minutes out of my morning yesterday and plopped some pictures into some great 5x7 quick pages. I got them from the "in memory of miles" kit I gave you the link to the other day! I used some scanned in pictures for these. I am trying to do some older photos of the family. You know, before there were digital camera days!!!

Oh and I also put in another layout in my gallery called "Vista View".

Oh my I forgot to close the windows last night when we went to bed. Woke up and was fine underneath all the covers but the air was quite chilly.
What a day I had yesterday, too much running around.....thank goodness it was nice out. That always energizes me! I was in bed early and must have needed the sleep!

Today hopefully will be alittle slower! Jess has ball practice at noon but other than that just waiting on the guys to get home! I do have some work I can do for my classes. So that is probably what I will do today.

I am going to search for some scrap freebies today. I have some friends coming over tomorrow to scrap so I am going to try to do some scanned pictures of the kids before the "digital camera"!! There are tons! I ended up getting alot at Nanna's attic! Great stuff! Her link is over to the left!

Well my cup of coffee is dry so I am going to start my day. Have a great weekend!

IPOD mania!

ok ok I will admit I love, love , love our IPOD 30gig!!! But man if you spend any time at all on the net surfing for accessories it will drive you batty! You have to take a look at this one I came across, this has to be for the die hard IPODer that is all I have to say. Here take a look.............

You have to admit that is helarious!!!!! Someone sure does spend alot of time in their bathroom!!!! LOL Course I guess in their defense you could turn it on while in the shower........ok ok still helarious!

Anyways, it is a beautiful morning and I have lots to do. Started to get the camper ready for the season. It was quite nice cause I hardly had to do anything. I only had to wipe down some things and stock some little things. But I did lose my camping list I usually use every year in a computer crash this last time, So I am in the process of making a new one! Can't wait to camp, the whole family is excited. That and our first camping trip is Memorial weekend and the kids know that school will almost be over!

Going to be opening the pool here in a couple weeks, this weather better start cooperating!!!!! Now, need to find that pool pump to drain the water off the top.................wonder where we put that?

well better head that way and finish my morning chores...........LOL

Not that you didn't already know that....LOL Boy I did not want to wake up this morning. But it is hard to sleep when you have a 190lb person jumping up and down on the bed..........LOL well actually all I heard when I had my eyes closed was .............."Are you going to wake up or do I have to get creative?" LOL I am pretty sure what I heard this morning was something like that! Too funny! I got up shortly after hearing that! Kinda like immediately!

Went to my moms this weekend and played cards. Had a great time as usual. Which reminds me...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!

Nothing much going on today but running a boat load of errands. Not going to scrap, not even going to fool myself into thinking I would have time. Then of course Ball practices and all that jazz. I need to get a better plan but it seems that my mondays are always crammed. I just hate to do too many "have to" things on the weekends when the whole family is in the house!

Anyways it is time to head to the treadmill and work off some of those weekend calories get back on track. So till later..........~

Busy busy busy as usual....HAPPY friday the 13th!!! Went to the dentist and found out I have an infection in my jaw bone where he tried to numb me the last time and it failed....LOL went to work and it was great (smoking cessation class) but the drive home was horrible. Can you say "Traffic Jam"? They have the interstate access closed from Maple and I think it took me an extra 20min to get through town. but I am home now and all is good. Have only one child in ball tonight and got some movies from the library to veg on the couch watching this evening with my family.

So thought I would just say hello to everyone and post more later!

Ok so finally all this hard work is paying off! Working out that is. I have been working out for about 2 weeks now, doing cardio first thing in the morning like everyone suggest and lifting weights 3 days a week. I got on the scales this morning and I am down another 4 lbs. Now that is definately a motivator with all this ikcy rain! Always easier to diet inthe summer for some reason even if you aren't outside. I have been using Fitday to track my progess. I know they have a free Diet tracker online at www.fitday.com .

Well today is a busy day so I thought I would post early before I hop on the treadmill. Going to go help a friend with some computer things. So maybe we can squeeze in a page today....LOL

then tonight is hectic with post office, banking, and library, ball at 5:30 , 4H at 6:30 back to ball at 7:00 and then to 4H at 7:30.....whew! (keep me in your prayers....LOL)

already! I don't mean to complain but I am so ready for summer!!!!! LOL
I spent the day grounded (cause dave was fixing my van tires) and I missed some calls. Not sure how that works but I think my phones aren't very loud and I am missing them ringing. weird. anyways I did do a couple more layout in the last few days and uploaded them to the slide and my gallery. I can't wait to get out tomarrow. I have a Dr appt and am going to a friends house. So come on SUN I am ready for ya!!!!!!!

Well been a few days since I have posted any updates. Been a crazy week , that is for sure! Went to work on Friday and on my way back had a flat tire! ARGH! My cell phone wouldn't pick up good coverage and I couldn't seem to get ahold of anyone so I tried the 2-way (nextel) and thank goodness I got ahold of the 3rd person I tried. I soon got a ride home. Dave ended up putting the spare on when he was coming home from work but now we need to get new tires we weren't planning on. No biggie just a hassle.
Had a great Easter weekend. Busy as usual but awesome! Went to visit Dave's Aunt on Sunday , nice to see everyone. The easter egg hunt at the church went great. And Terry and Denny were both on Whiz Tv about it. I think it is on the website also. (at least Denny's interview).
Well it is Monday and I need to get some things started that I seem to never do on the weekends, like clean and shop. LOL But guess what? I scraplifted this past week. You will have to check out my layout slider to the right. I will have a few new ones in there soon! So off I am to load those up for you to see. (did that sound a little like something Yoda wold say?...LOL)

Well it is another gorgeous morning! The sun is so refreshing to see for more than 2 days in a row! Spring is really in the air now! I feel sorry for all you that suffer with alergies. I hear this is a terrible season this year for that.
Well was just told that is is supposed to get cold the rest of the week and rain. YUCK! But oh well if it needs to get it out of its system now then I am all for it!

well Jessies eye is getting much better. Still a nice shade of wine,purple and yellowish green! They were calling her "black eye" at ball cause the coach coudn't remember anyones names......LOL Yes you heard me right, ball has indeed started. It is now 4 days a week. So if you haven't guessed my computer time is cut down to just about email and banking....LOL You can always still leave me a message on yahoo. Or even call, now there is a thought. I wonder when the telephone with be obsolete? LOL just teasin, the internet is so handy for those of us that don't have time to be on the phone! It's a good thing.

Oh for all you poor ladies that I keep bugging about a website I have been trying to find I FOUND IT! it is www.shoplocal.com you can get latest flyers and sales on there in your home town. I am always waiting to see when arizona jeans go on sale for Jess there and I had lost the link in a computer crash and just now got it back. Was wracking my brain like crazy trying to remember it. Kinda like a bad tune stuck in your head....LOL

UPDATE: I have a wonderful friend in cambridge that offered me some dafodils! WOOHOOO!!!!!!! Thanks Tina A. ~~ Love ya! now if we can just find the time to get together.........I know you are working like what? 6 days a week now?
Didn't you say you would have a "Spring" cookout type house warming thing or did Dave and I miss that already?

Anyways just wanted to update the blog and let you know that updates will probably be scattered here and there while the sun is out.

Oh and for you who asked the job is going great still in training (teachign birthing classes) So keep the prayers coming I a great Born again Christian group of ladies to work beside and learn from! God is good!

Ok well here is an update on Jessie's eye..... She is getting better and it doesnt' hurt as much. She just did it real good is all. The inset picture is of her this morning before getting out of bed. Amazing how it looks worse. The blood looks like it is pooling in the eyelid. At least it gives us something to scrap!

As far as being sick, she really doesnt' act like it. Just tired sometimes in the afternoon. She is on medicine now but couldn't go to school. She was so upset so I told her we would go out to eat today. (another scrap opportunity...LOL)By the way she tested positive or Strep..........argh!

My body is so sore. I am so tired. I worked all day yesterday in the flowerbeds. I have some pictures to show you....

Dave, bless his heart, carried all the bags of mulch and poured them for me. I still have a lot to do but will take my time now. I was told that some of my plants might be too close to the house so I will end up moving them out further. I do believe they were like that cause my beds were so narrow. Now I want some DAFODILLS! *hint *hint. I love these cause they come out so early! I know they dont last but if I do the beds right it won't matter!
So if anyone has any of these that they would like to thin out please let me know!!

How sweet!

I know I am partial but I do believe I have the greatest husband! He just amazes me all the time with how he grows closer to my needs and wants and desires and how much more romantic he becomes all the time. I am not sure what it was last night but he was very reminiscent and greatful of what we do have together. Very gushy in spirit! He came upstairs with the Ipod and we shared the earphones as he took me on a mini vacation through music. How cute!! It started out with a Kenny Chesney tune "When the Sun goes down". I swear just for a second I could almost smell the salt in the air and feel the sand between my toes. LOL I know we are dorks, but I LOVED it! We laid in bed and just talked about anything that came to our minds and silly stuff. We walked down memory lane, remembering all the little silly things we have done and just feeling blessed at all the place and people that God has adorned us with. Truely amazing feeling! My head swims with ideas of how I can make him feel as special as he did me last night! ok ok enough with the mushiness.......LOL

I will post an updated pic of Jessie's eye later on . I have to get ready to take her to the Dr. She is still complaining about a headache and sore throat off and on and spike alittle temp. this morning. I firgured better to take her in now then to wait till the weekend.

Well Jess and Jake were playing on a friends trampoline last night and Jake accidentally caught her eye with his knee. I was at work and they were wanting to see how long before I noticed. Well it wasn't long. LOL It was actually hard to miss. But the swelling didn't go down like I though it would. These pics don't do it justice but in most of them she is trying to look out both eyes......here take a look.......

Between the Nintendo Wii and the flower beds, my neck is killing me.....LOL I guess I am no spring chicken anymore. I have a kink in my neck shoulder area and will have to soak here real soon. Like I said I have been outside today in this gorgeous weather pilfering around in the flower beds. I am trying to fake having even just one ounce of my fathers "Green" thumb. But I took some pictures and Val M if you are reading this please leave me a comment on the mystery plant! (Can't miss it , it has a question mark on it....LOL)

Rain Rain go away!

LOL man we have gotten alot of rain lately. I am hoping this means we will have a fairly dry summer? A girl can dream can't she? It seems that we would usually plan for a vacation in June or July and it would rain alot! Oh well I am just looking forward to opening the pool. We are keeping our eyes open for a heating system for the pool, maybe the kind where the sun heats it through a series of tubes. We are keeping our eyes open!
For the past several weeks Jake has been singing this silly "drive thru freestyle" song and it has become lodged in my brain..........LOL Here take a look at it ......(he got it off of youtube)

Lets see what is new? mmmmm well the sun was shining today! I got all stoked when I went outside to get Jess going to the bus and what did I see? BUDS! the green popping up through the front flower beds just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside...........LOL I am so ready for the "HOT" weather! And those little guys enable me to see the light at the end of the tunnel!!!

I have been wearing flip flops for the past week.....LOL I had a pair of reeboks I thought we going to the trash cause I had gotten some stain on them last year while staining the back deck but I had a stroke of genius and use alittle sand paper on them and "abracadabra" they are good as new! Loved that! (they are my fav)

other then that not much going on, did a layout for a friend of mine but haven't done anything else since. Just figure it is getting closer to summer and probably wont do too much! Maybe it is just a phase but I have been so not wanting to be on here for too long.........LOL

Anyways everything here is great and Dave and I have been reading a new book! the Dave Ramsey book. We are wanting to be debt free , house and all and have been moving forward with that goal. If you care to take a look he has his own website. www.daveramsey.com

Email woes!

Have you ever said to yourself, "can all these emails be true?". Well guess what? they usually aren't. I recently joined an email group and one particular women send anything and everything on to everyone! I am amazed at just what we all will send on to others in or email boxes. I have been a long time fan of www.snopes.com you can go there and look up practically any urban legend to see if it is true. I just usually stick the subject in the search box and find the truth. From alien babies to "In God we trust" being taken out of documents it is all there. Go ahead take a look see, it is quite eye opening as to what you will send on from your mail boxes with your name attached!

Well it is definately monday! I had almost all my cleaning done by 7:30am and am now working on my "list". Yes I am a list person. Have been for many years. I am not sure how I would do things without one..............LOL I am so bad that if my list gets messy I end up making a new one so it is neat.....LOL Anyways not much going on except catchin up on errands, but maybe I will try to scrap a page later on today.

Day of rest.........................ha ha ha RIGHT! (*rolling eyes*) not today it wasn't , but for a very good cause. Rick and Bobbie got married today at the church. Very last minute thing and very cool! It went great and there was enough food and cake for everyone! (we were worried about that one) Ginny Dunmead did a wonderful job on the cake and Marlys and Krystal made sure everything came out without any glitches! It is so nice to be apart of a church family that really loves you when you are in need.

I thought I would play around with some photos of the wedding.................

It always tickles me to give the kids the camera and see what kinda pictures they end up getting. I love this view from the back of the cake that Jake took....

Well it has been a long day and even though I saw some great templates on Ikea's site I think I will go put some comfy clothes on and get ready for my show....."Extreme Home Makeover"!!!Maybe I will get a chance to fool around with a layout tomorrow!

Well it's been awhile since I last posted. Just been busy with alot of things. Rick and Bobbie are getting married this weekend and it was such a short time period to make things happen but it is going to turn out great! The weather has turned bad once again and I wonder when spring will come!

I am sitting here drinking my coffee trying to wake up to go to work! I am so tired and I even went to bed as soon as I got home last night. We ended up going to go see "Wild Hogs" at the movies. We went with some friends and it was an excellent movie. I have to admit with that many stars I was skeptical going in. But it was very funny and very good! I agree that it would be a good one to own.

I haven't had time or the inspiration to scrap lately. I have just done a page here and there but I really don't have too many good pictures to scrap. Maybe it is just that time of the year or I am going through a spurt, Seems like when I am busy running around I just don't seem to ever get to it. Too many things going on at the moment I guess.

Well it is just about that time I need to finish my coffee and put my face on for the day............LOL

Well what a wonderful day we had yet again yesterday! I don't think we are going to luck out today though. It is just starting to sprinkle. I have the house clean and have no errands to run today (or at least this morning), and since my dryer is still on the fritz I have nothing better to do then maybe "Scrap" a little bit! Not sure what I am going to scrap yet but I will think of that when I get both kids off to school.

Did I hear snow in the forecast? I will have to hop on over to the weather page to see if that is true or not but I truly hope not. I am soooo ready for spring, these last few days have truly spoiled us. Especially when you can sleep with the window open. I was in heaven last night!

well don't have much else to blog on so I will maybe post another one later when I have had time to search for some Scrappin goodies!

Aw man how awesome was yesterday? We had so much fun, and we really didn't do anything special. We got out of church and the sun was shining. We came home ate lunch then did so many of the "little" things that needed done. We all went to walmart then to Dave's moms to fix a leaky sink. Came home cleaned the back deck and cooked out! We finished the day by just relaxing and watching a movie in bed. It is truly amazing at how the Sun affects our moods and how we feel.

Poor Dave he must have done something to his back he looks all hunched over when he walks. I gave him a back rub and that seems to help but he just never rests!

Well I am looking at yet another busy busy week. We have dental appts. 4 days in a row! LOL Not sure how we did that but at least we will have them out of the way.

Well I am rushing to get an update on , seems like I have a slow kid this morning so I will get off here and get them moving so they don't miss the bus!

*Yawn* I am so tired this morning. I think I will just blame it on the snow! what a freakish snowing yesterday. yeah yeah I know, it is still winter but my internal clock says if we are going to push the clocks ahead this weekend then there should be no snow.....lol

Well I am posting bright and early this morning cause I am getting ready for work. woohoo first day at my job. Today is the day I actually get to hang with my boss and another gal in the women's resource center. I am hoping to learn more about what they do. I have a feeling I will be surprised at all they are responsible for! But none the less I am excited!

Boy time is getting more scarce by the day. You can really tell it is getting close to spring.................ok ok minus the snow storm we got this morning! LOL
I figure it will be easier for me if I maybe do a link to my layout gallery and post just the newest one on the slider to the right. That way I can conserve on time when posting. So as soon as I type up this post I will post my current layouts on the slider and move the more "older" ones to a gallery. So be sure to check out the slider from time to time.
I have my first official day in my department tomarrow at work. I am so excited to mesh in with these ladies I will be working with. I dont like not knowing the place or the peopl when first starting a job but I want to also enjoy this journey I have been placed on. What a wild trip this past year has been!
Well have to go cook supper, get ready for ball sign ups, get jess to awanas, and blah blah blah,,............I don't even want to think about it. *Happy thoughts about summer....a long summer!*

Hello SUN!

Oh my the sun is so beautiful!!! Makes me want to go out by the pool and dream of summer days...........but it is too cold to do that so I will just continue to admire it from inside! LOL. This weather makes me want to do anything by sit inside and scrap! It recharges me and makes me want to work out (believe it or not). which is what I am going to do once I finish posting this to the blog. I just went today and filled out all my HR papers for work and have tomarrow off. Then I go back in on Thursday to my department and orient there for the day.

We are signing the kids up for baseball tomarrow night so I can just feel spring just around the corner. I do miss the church league though! Ever since Dave had to have knee surgery we haven't went much to Riverside and hung out. I miss that sometimes! But we have filled that empty spot with the Harley!!

Can you tell I am sick for summer? well I am sure it will be here soon enough then someone will complain it is too hot....(NOT ME!)

Well I am going to watch my show HEROS on nbc.com (I was in bed last night when it was on) and then get ready for small group. You all have a great night and I will try to post again real soon!

Well finally got around to updating the blog. Had a busy weekend. Didn't feel the greatest all weekend and took a nap on Sunday. If you know me you know I probably haven't taken a nap since the 1990's....LOL Just been feeling a little under the weather and I guess it just caught up to me. I haven't scrapped much and probably won't too much this week, but be sure to check IKEA's site I see some many cute things there the last couple of days.

Well I start a new job this week at a local Women's resource center. I am very excited! The women there are wonderful and so nice. It will be nice to expand in this area. I also think I have my financial aid all squared away now and will be going back to college very soon. (probably next quuarter) Very exciting times!

Well I will try to update the blog more this week now that I have my laptop up and running again. Totally amazing just how convienent you forget these things are....LOL

Well going to go work out and work off all the great food I ate this weekend!

Well if you know me then you know I do alot of scraplifting. What is scraplifting? Well it is the act of copying ideas and designs from another person’s scrapbook page to use in your own pages.
They’re quick, they’re easy, and you already know you’ll like them. Scraplifting is accepted…it’s why we look at other people’s pages for ideas. You just need to make sure you give credit where credit is due and never try to pass the idea off as your own. Here take a look at the one I did last night...........

This layout only took me a short time, there no really thinking involved. The longest part was actually looking for a layout idea I liked! So next time you get stuck and don't know where to lay things out , go ahead give "Scraplifting" a try!!!

Well I am a day late in updating my blog, sorry about that, I spent the morning with some friends digi scrappin at my house! We had a good time. But it only confirms to me that you definatley need more than just a few hours to learn and share some photoshop secrets. I forget just how much I have learned till you see someone just starting out trying to obsorb it all. Well I did get a layout done after they left. I did another "scraplift" from "memories" at SBB. Well I will be heading out soon to go take a drug screen test. Yes that right! HR from a local health care company called yesterday and offered me a job. I will be an on call RN for a local womens resource center teaching lamaze to start out. The boss is a wonderful professed Christian with great values. The other women in the department are so nice and really welcomed me at my interview. I have to say this is the longest (3 weeks) I had to wait for a call back ever. But God is good and he never ceases to amaze me! I committed to him that whatever happened I would praise his name. You "truely" can do whatever you put your mind to when he is backing you! So since I won't be on much this morning I thought I would drop a line and give a link to a "Bath Bubbles" design I just happened across this morning while checking my email. I feel so tired for some reason. I hate waking up tired. I think I am still catching up from friday night. After the scrap party Dave had gotten us a movie to watch. We watched "The Departed". Very good movie, but man I thought it was long. I ended up going to bed somewhere around 1:30 after it was over. I guess I am just no spring chick after all. Need as much beauty rest as I can get.....lol
Well I have my coffee in hand and I am sure I will be fine in about 1.5 more cups! I wanted to share some layouts I did this weekend. I am getting kinda fond of the whole "template" idea!

Well today is Sunday and as always we went to church. Then afterwards we cooked out for my Mother in laws birthday. What a treat! The smell of the grill was wonderful! We ate and hung out for awhile, just nice time relaxing together!

Have already had several people contact me wanting to know when I was going to host the next "Scrap" party! It will definitely have to be after a 14 and younger party first. lol but I do plan on having another one and even maybe one just dedicated to the digi side of things!
Amazing to watch people get hooked on something I love to do! Natalie was so hooked after Friday night she went home and scrapped 9 pages..........very cool! She is now an addict! LOL
Poor thing, but I think we warned her first.........LOL

Anyways it is time to relax before the week starts. We have at least 1-2 things going on every night so I have a feeling we will be meeting ourselves coming and going. I am sure I will hook up with a few of you on yahoo messenger and be sure to share some of your digi creations in email!!!! I look forward to seeing all the cool layouts!

Had a wonderful time and turnout last night at the scrap party! I didn't even scrap! Got to fellowship and catch up with everyone! We ended up having 4 digi scrappers! how cool is that? One of these days I will have to have just a digi scrap party.....I feel like I couldn't give my full attention to it and help teach a little better! Well tonight is the night of the Scrapbooking party at my house! Please if you need anything today just call the house or my cell number as I will be out and about pretty much all day! A young woman was killed when she ran a stop sign south of Martinsburg on Wednesday morning. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Miss Yoder, 16, was southbound on Cullison Road. She drove her 2002 Pontiac Grand Am onto rt 586 into the path of a car driven by William , 39, . Yoder’s address was not given.

The Yoder car was struck broadside by Williams 1992 Ford Thunderbird. Yoder was taken to the Community Hospital by EMS, then transferred to Grant Medical. She died of her injuries at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

William was taken to KCH by the EMS. The patrol said William was not wearing his seat belt. Whether Yoder was belted in is still under investigation. Alcohol is not considered a factor, according to the patrol. Restraint usage, speed and the role of the weather is still under investigation by troopers.

What a morning!

It wasn't a bad night at all, just something out of routine. My brother in law was in a car accident yesterday on his way to work. Nothing major we thought. He ended up getting 14 stitches in his head and lost consciousness at one point. He is very sore and bruised up but will be ok in a few days. He was just worried about some pain and decided to spend the night with us. This morning though was a different story altogether! As we were making calls to find out what Dr.'s worked on him and where the cars were towed we got some bad news. The girl that pulled out in front of him was 16 years old an did not make it to the hospital alive. What devestation her family must be going through. My brother in law is so heart broken and upset as you can imagine. I would like to ask you all to pray for not only him but this girls family. I am sure God is at work and knows what they need!
I am at a loss for words but know many of you would be wondering what was going on. I will keep it posted if anything else is found out!

My oh my what a night! Sometime after Jake and I left to pick Jessie up from school our power went out. The power co. said that it was a fuse down the road and that they would be on there way to fix it asap. We didn't even realize it till we got home and the garage door wouldn't open. Still I thought maybe the battery in the remote was dead. (Dave just had to replace his) I ended up making a Burger King run for supper and Thank goodness we had small group at the Kimpels! But in the short time we were with out power it was kinda cool not having tv, computer and phone. We sat at the dining room table with oil lamps and talked about our days! I am so used to having grown up with a water well I kept telling the kids not to flush the toilets.................LOL Well we went to small group and figured it would be back on when we got back but we were greated by the huge AEP trucks as we drove up. I guess it was probably another 1-2 hours before it came back on. Anyways I really feel God has been showing me lately how much time we spend doing things to feed out flesh more than we feed the spirits! Humbling to say the least!

As for this morning we are on a 2 hour delay from school. Dave called and said the roads were slippery and that I should check the schools out for delays. Sure enough they are all listed! Thank goodness for that too cause they kids got to bed so late last night.
Well today is a busy one...I have errands to run and medical bills to sort out so I don't think I will have time to scrap today. I think instead I will be getting ready for this Friday night "Scrapfest" at my house!
oh by the way if you need something to pray about be praying for my quick recovery! It is taking longer than I thought! ARGH!
Oh yes I almost forgot I did indeed scrap another page yesterday! I scraplifted from a gal on SBB. Her ID name is "memories" you can see her page here!
I think her page was actually an 8x10 page but I just did mine on a 10x10 format. Here is my version..............

Well nothing much new today, I have felt different the past couple days though! I finally realized why I was so awake and ready to do something.......................THE SUN!!! It was so nice yesterday having the sun come in the windows. The only bad thing is it uncovered my eyes to all the spots in the house that were dirty. yes I said "were"!...LOL So you can guess where I was yeterday. Home cleaning! Felt good though, this "cold" weather has had me feeling like quite a SLUG!

Help! I am addicted!

I am a severe "Fontaholic" and I can't stop....LOL I thought I was cured but the thought of someone handing out 100's of font for free just really makes me giddy. I have to have them! I am not sure why! I had at one time over 10000 on my hard drive and I categorized most of them. Why you ask? well not really sure. I guess as a scrapper you just never know when you might need one. Not that you could find any particular one if you needed it. like I said, it is an ADDICTION........LOL
( I have since lost most to several hard drive crashes)

Well guess what I found in my email box this morning? I was so excited I dont even know who sent it to me. All I saw was "free fonts" It is a yahoo group that gives out 100 or more fonts per week in a zip file. So I dashed on over, signed up and now am awaiting my first email notification.............LOL (I told you I was addicted)

Just how awesome is God? I am always suprised at continually being amazed at just how much he loves us! I just spent the last 6 hours with a friend in the hospital ER. (She is fine) And yes what a blessing it was. I am just not sure as to who for! I am inclined to think it was for me! He keeps showing himself to me here recently and I feel blessed and humbled at the thought of him chasing me down. We have been dwelling alot lately on just how much God takes care of us and I can't help but to ask why. We don't deserve it by any stretch of the mind. I always feel like I have so much to learn and so many lessons waiting for us to go through, and I never feel adequate for the things he puts before me! He always puts the words in my mouth when someone needs His love and mercy through me. I always feel like I fail. I guess I sometimes still feel that I have to be the one to make things happen the way they are supposed to and I always forget that it is not me but Him through me! Oh how quick we are to get off track and not realize it till we are just about to crash or worse off have already crashed! Praise Him for loving us so much! I continue to ask you Lord to pour your blessings out on this family despite ourselves! Thank you for showing me your face today! Thank you Lord that my friend is ok.
Not only did God use this for me but bunched up so many treasures in this incident that I will be a few days relishing in them and I am sure he will show me more as the days go on. What a joy it is to hear your kids pray for someone that was in need even when you didn't ask them too!

Well here I am I managed to get in one page....LOL I wanted to try to use a new concept (well new to me) the "Template". What a stroke of genius! Whoever came up with this idea deserves a huge Kiss! A template is a layered image mostly in grey tones. Someone makes it to the design of their creative ability then all you have to do is plugin the pictures and papers and tada! Its a scrap page. Just about as quick as using an already made page! Take a look here at the one I did of Jessie and the cats!

ok I know it hasn't been long since we got some snow, but I am really ready for it to be gone! But I did hear rumors that it might be up around 40 degrees on Monday and then it will be a muddy mess. Oh well I guess I should be glad that we don't have 5 feet of snow like I heard some places up north got! I will admit I drempt that the kids got on the bus last night..............LOL (Not joking)
Well the Movie yesterday was good! I had tears well up in my eyes at one point! Jess said she really liked it also. Was very imaginative. I would go see it again if Dave wanted to see it.
We spent the night at home last night. Was nice just hanging out. Jess and I played a boardgame while Dave surfed the internet then Dave and I watched a movie. Was just discussing with him and a friend about how much of a homebody I have become. I used to have to have at least something planned for the weekend just so I knew I had something to look forward to. But the older I get the more I am content in what I have at home and find myself just basking in it's safeness. A refuge from the outside world sometimes. Great place to be!
Well I plan on relaxing today and getting things ready for the week. I might scrap today I have some great pictures of the cats I could use. Maybe I will post something alittle later! Leave some comments I will check back later! Till then.....~

Goodmorning everyone! Hope you all have great plans for the weekend! We spent last night watching a movie with friends in their new home! Had a good time and their house, of course, is beautiful! We are so happy for them!
The guys are at a "Guy Shoot" thing out at the Elliots farm this morning, not sure all what they do there but they always come back home pumped and recharged!

Since they are gone I thought about taking Jess to go see the bridge to Terabithia. It is on at the theater and you can view the trailer here...........

Other than that we don't have a lot planned! The house is cleaned and laundry is done but I am sure Jess and I will find something "Girly" to do!

I wanted to share with you one of my favorite magazines. Dave used to buy it for me as a little suprise sometimes when I was least expecting it and I always loved it. so I ended up buying a subscription to it. It is Real Simple. Looks like this........

I am not real sure why this magazine has become my favorite. I think it might have something to do with it feeding my many sides!!!! It is great for my "Homebody" side, stuffs my "techie internet" side and even has a ton for my "do it your self" sides! It has so much more than that but too much to mention. That and maybe it is usually the thickest and cheapest at the magazine isle.....LOL Anyways if click here you can see what they have to offer from the magazine online!

Oh my I guess it is just going to be one of those days! So much for scrappin, now I dont feel like it.....LOL No actually I took Jess to a friends house to play and I got stuck in the driveway of their place!! So to make a long story short, my friend brought me home and I guess I will be staying home till Dave gets home! So anyways I wanted to do at least one page so I went on over to Ikea Goddess's page and grabbed a freebie from Miss Tiina and quickly put a photo in it. So here it is! Got to love the quick free ones!

My oh my yet another SNOW DAY! Well not really I guess, this was a regular scheduled day off. But the kids have been off from school since this past Tuesday. And don't get me wrong, I love having them home. But when I don't feel the greatest it is hard to keep them entertained. They are doing quite well though. I actually slept in till 9am. Which if you know me, you know I dont usually make it past 6:30am. I am reading the temp. and it is looking like a heatwave at a whopping 14 degrees this morning. LOL Nothing really new today so far but I was surfing some other blogs and came across this really cute video, I ended up getting a good laugh out of it! Here is it for you to see..................

Well I haven't done much scrapping lately so I might dig out some pictures today and share one with you all later! Till then.................

Ok well as you can see I have been playing around with the layout of the page. That is why there is a date of Feb 15th for yesterdays posting...........LOL I am actually having fun trying to figure out the webpage building again. Hasnt' been too bad but I forgot how much time it takes!!

The one thing I have added that you might not see right away is that when you hover over any link on my page you now get a preview before actually clicking on that said link. Go ahead give it a try!

As for the weather?....ARGH!!!! I am so ready for summer! I often use the line "I'm solar powered" that Dave heard a women at work say! And it is true in my case. Don't get me wrong I love the 4 seasons but I would definately split them up a little different is I was in charge!

Well I don't mean to cut things short but I am feeling alittle under the weather today. I guess I am still recovering from surgery!

Ok here I am posting for the very first time! Woohooo not as bad as I had thought! I figured this would be a great way to share photos and life happenings with friends and family! I am taking advantage of the weather I guess! Everything outside is now a blanket of ice so going anywhere today in the minivan is pretty much out of the question! The kids are starting to get a little stir crazy but it is nice to have them home! I heard we are in a level 3 which means no one should be on the roads except for emergency crews but Dave made it to work fine! What a trooper! Driven to the bone he is! I took some photos of the kids last night sleding on the road so I thought I would share! (yes I said roads.......LOL)

Special HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to Bill D Sr.! It's his birthday today!!! We love you!
